Panopticon is completely unique in its ability to handle true real-time streaming data feeds from message queues, CEP engines, OData sources, and tick databases. You can also federate data from real-time sources with other real-time streams or reference data stored in relational databases and flat files.

Our real time capabilities are enabled by our StreamCube™ in-memory OLAP data model. This allows users to filter, slice and dice all the data coming into the system on the fly, without requiring a middle data layer that adds unnecessary latency to your system.
Visualize real-time streams being pushed into the system — not polled from an external source
The idea of "real-time" can be very confusing, since most companies that offer data visualization and dashboard technology say they can handle "real-time" requirements. However, what most of them mean is that their software requests updates from an external data source as it is needed by the system. For example, a system might make an update request in order to generate a new graph. The system pulls the updated data from the external source and uses it in the display – the data is accurate as of that exact moment, but it becomes out-of-date immediately since no further updates are available until a complete refresh is done.
What we mean by "streaming real-time" is that data is constantly being pushed into our system and therefore into the visualization by an external source – not at a regular interval, but instantly, as-it-happens and on a tick-by-tick basis.

Speed matters
Simple chart libraries cannot support calculations using real-time data. Data aggregation mechanisms that work in real-time require sophisticated programming techniques that must be carefully implemented. The design of our software guarantees calculation performance so that overall system performance is not affected as real-time data streams into the system. It allows users to work with real-time data feeds that may be changing hundreds of times per second.
Visual alerts notify you in real-time on an exception basis
You can pair conditional statements based on any part of the data with visual alerts that are triggered when a specific set of conditions is fulfilled. Other visual alerts indicate when and where there is an update in the data.
Visual alerts are extremely powerful. For example, if you are monitoring trade activities or exposure risks, they will let you know instantly when certain trouble conditions are present so that you can take immediate action.
